    Cherries have numerous benefits including melatonin value that promotes better sleeping patterns and even a sharper memory.

    INGREDIENTS

    1 cup cherries, pits removed
    1 young coconut (meat and 1/2 cup coconut water)
    1/2 apple or pear
    2 cups fresh baby spinach (or other leafy green)

    DIRECTIONS

    • Put all the ingredients in a blender. Combine until smooth and enjoy!

    1 cup cherries, pits removed
    1 whole apple
    2 cups fresh baby spinach (or other leafy green)
    1/2 cup water

    1 cup organic strawberries

    When pomegranates are in season, make sure to have this savory recipe at bay and drink up a healthy dose of antioxidant.

    INGREDIENTS

    1/2 cup fresh pomegranate juice
    2 cups frozen cherries
    2 organic bananas
    3 cups chard or other leafy green (optional)
    4 ounces of filtered water (optional if needed)

    DIRECTIONS

    • For juicing the pomegranate, empty the seeds in a strainer and use a spoon to mash them. You may also use bottled pomegranate juice, if preferred.
    • Combine all the ingredients in a blender and set to high speed for 30 seconds or just until smooth. Serve.

    A heavenly parfait recipe that can makes enough serving good for two people!

    INGREDIENTS

    2 small ripe bananas, peeled
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract or 1/2 inch of vanilla bean
    1/2 cup macadamia nuts (soaked for about 4 hours)
    1 cup cherries, pitted and sliced in half (or your favorite fruit)

    DIRECTIONS

    • Put the bananas in a blender. Process and add nuts. Continue blending until creamy. Chill for half hour until thick.
    • Layer vanilla pudding at the bottom of two cups or bowls. Add a quarter measure of the cherries and top with another layer of the pudding. Add the remaining cherries, followed with the rest of the vanilla pudding.
    • Serve with sprinkles of raw granola.

    I always have this nutritious drink ready when the kids come home from school. They love it and so does the whole family.

    INGREDIENTS

    * 1/2 cherry yogurt
    * 1 cup of pitted cherries
    * 1/2 banana
    * 1/2 cup milk

    DIRECTIONS

    • Combine milk, banana and yogurt in a blender. Process for a minute. Add the cherries, setting blender on low speed. Process for half minute and serve.

    My kids truly enjoy this healthy and delicious beverage. I even substitute cherry and berry with other fruits and it still works wonders.

    INGREDIENTS

    * 1 cup cherry juice blend
    * 1 cup (8 ounces) vanilla yogurt
    * 1 cup frozen unsweetened raspberries
    * 1/2 cup seedless red grapes
    * 3 to 4 teaspoons sugar

    DIRECTIONS

    • Put all the ingredients in a blender. Put cover and process until combined. Serve into glasses and enjoy!
    • Makes 3 servings.
